SPECIAL KIND OF BREED

SPECIAL KIND OF BREED

Oilfield 365  was created while I was waiting for a wireline run to be done. As I waited, I started to browse the web looking for some oilfield shirts. To be honest, there wasn’t much that captured my attention. In fact, what I found was that there is a lack of clothing for the Oilfield community — so I grabbed my iPad and started putting ideas together.
There are different aspects to this type of work and I thought it’d be nice for my oilfield brothers and sisters to be able to wear a shirt with their specific trade and show off their pride, as it takes a special type of person to get into our industry.
We are doing the world’s dirty work and this life is not for everyone. We are without a doubt a special kind of breed. Working 100 plus hours a week, (this ain’t no 9-5) whether it be in 100 plus degree weather or negative degree weather, (for me the worst was -58 in North Dakota. I’m currently working in West Texas) we don’t stop and no matter how tired we are we always get the job done!

HARD WORK AND SACRIFICE

HARD WORK AND SACRIFICE

Many people will tell me that it must be nice to have money or nice things, but people don’t see the sacrifice that we oilfield people make. Being away from our loved ones is no easy thing to do, but I’m thankful that from the day I first started in the oilfield (2011) all the people I met that first day made me feel like family and they offered me help with some money for food the first week. If I needed any clothes or tools for the job, they had my back! Not one hesitated to help. I am grateful for that and I was immediately humbled and promised that I will always be grateful. I always hoped that I could do the same for someone later down the road.

Oilfield 365 above all, is simply my way of saying thank you to everyone that has a role in the oilfield industry — the wives, girlfriends, husbands and boyfriends that always support. They hold the fort down while we are away and that’s no easy task. They are our backbone and we could not do it without them. Thank you again. Much love and respect.
